They don't represent guaranteed financial savings or headcount reduction. Dollar values are approximate equivalents based on salary, and training costs are approximate.
How we worked this out
Hours per person: the average of the areas you ticked, nudged up slightly for each extra area because people's work spans more than one. With nothing ticked we use 3 hours a week, the middle of what our learners report.
Hours a month: hours per person a week × 4.33 weeks × number of people.
Equivalent value: hours recovered × salary ÷ 2,080 working hours a year, worked out separately for staff and leaders.
Training cost: about $13,000 per facilitated cohort. Leaders get their own cohort (up to 12 people) once there are 5 or more; team cohorts take up to 8. Above 24 people, about a fifth go through team cohorts and the rest learn through our self-paced online course at $300 per person a year.
Time to recover investment: training cost ÷ the equivalent value of capacity recovered each month.
